
Deanship of Academic Development and Quality Delivers More Than 80 Programs in the First Academic Semester
The Academic Development and Quality Deanship at King Khalid University concluded all faculty member training programs and activities for the first semester of the 1439-40 academic year. The deanship offered 80 programs during the first semester. For the male colleges, 30 training courses with half being directed to faculty members were offered. The deanship also held three meetings, four training workshops, three introductory workshops for new faculty members, four workshops for satellite campus faculty members, and numerous internal reviewer training programs. In all, the programs witnessed nearly 500 participants.
For the female colleges, the deanship offered 15 training courses, eight faculty member workshops, and four introductory workshops for new faculty members. All training courses were held in the Leadership Hall. The deanship also held three online workshops that were delivered in the English language. In all, the programs witnessed nearly 350 participants.
The deanship also held 26 activities in collaboration with a number of colleges. Of note, International Quality Day was celebrated under the slogan 'Quality Based on Trust'. In addition, the deanship hosted the visit of the International Academic Assessment and Accreditation Center, the ABET Association, and the QS Association.
Among the performance enhancement programs, the deanship held the 'Development of the University Excellence Award Standard' workshop. In this workshop, the standards and conditions of the award were evaluated in the presence of college deans, vice deans of academic development and quality, faculty members, and quality employees. The workshop was attended by more than 110 university members, while more than 4,000 participated in numerous online sessions.
Regarding the university's qualified academic accredited programs, the deanship organized more than 27 programs that included but not limited to:
- The Oral and Dental Surgery Program;
- The Public Health Program;
- The Nursing Science Program;
- The Diagnostic Radiology Program;
- The Physiotherapy Program;
- The Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion Program;
- The English Language Program;
- The Accounting Programs.
