On the 9th of Safar 1440 AH, His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between King Khalid University and the Al-Kawther Health Association. This agreement will provide a slew of health and training services to university employees and students.
Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Dr. Saad Muhammad Du'ajim, represented the university in the signing, while Dr. Jubran Al-Qahtani represented the Al-Kawther Health Association. In more details, the agreement provides partnership and support between the two parties to achieve distinguished services in areas of volunteer work and training, in addition to research, health programs, marketing, and public relations.
Dean of the Institute of Research and Studies Studies, Dr. Abdul Latif Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, confirmed that this agreement would open a host of new and in-demand free health services for our community. He emphasized that the Al-Kawthar Health Association is one of the leading national non-profit institutions with a remarkable track record that includes a number of awards in the Kingdom. Dean Al-Hadithi stressed that the university under the guidance of His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy is pleased to provide unwavering support to achieve noble goals.
Dean Al-Hadithi pointed out that the health services needed by the community are provided through government agencies and private entities. "The charity sector represents a third party no less critical than those bodies," he said. He also highlighted the vital role that universities play in health awareness educational training and in encouraging community service which are all part of the Saudi 2030 vision.
