His Excellency the University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, launched the conference and seminar unit website in the presence of the vice rector for higher studies and research, the supervisor of the conference and seminar unit, and the supervisor of the iT administration.
In the beginning, His Excellency watched a visual presentation presented by Unit Supervisor, Dr. Hamid Al-Shahrani, who explained that the website aims to contribute towards achieving the University vision and mission in becoming one the leading universities in the world. The site also seeks to develop a more accessible and professional method to register for conferences, seminars, and workshops; it will also facilitate partnerships between faculty members and universities. Al-Shahrani added: "The Conference and Seminar Unit launched this website to provide better services and to create statistics and databases that help generate accurate information and contribute to achieving University goals."
