His Excellency the University Rector, Dr. Falah Al-Solamy, sponsored the Safety and Security Closing Ceremony yesterday evening, which was organized by the Safety and Security Department in the presence of the General Director of Police in the Asir Region, Saleh Al-Qarni, University Vice Rector, Dr. Mohammad Al-Hasoon, and the University Vice Rector for Development and Quality, Dr. Merzin Al-Shahrani, at the College of Applied Sciences in Abha.
The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran followed by a speech by Dr. Mohammad Al-Hasoon. In his speech, Al-Hasoon thanked Rector Al-Solamy for sponsoring the ceremony. He also highlighted the role of the Safety and Security Department in the University and thanked them for raising the level of safety and security as well as managing traffic. Following the Vice Rector's speech, Mr. Abdullah Al-Qahtani delivered a poem which was followed by a play entitled "We Are with You" dedicated to our soldiers on the southern border. The Head of the Safety and Security Department, Mr. Ali Fayiz Alahmari, delivered a speech where he explained the value of living in a safe and secure country and that that it is our duty to keep it that way. He concluded his remarks by thanking the University Rector and all those who worked for the success and safety of our University.
At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency honored the entities that contributed to the safety and security of the University by delivering commemorative shields of honor.
