The Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education at King Khalid University participated in the awareness program in Belasmar, Tanoma, and Belahmar. The Deanship's engagement fell under the Sixth Health and Culture Awareness program organized by King Khalid University. The Deanship offered six training courses, including a course entitled "Correcting Negative Behavior in Children" presented by Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Abd in Marwan bin Al-Hakam Primary and Intermediate School in Hura.
A course entitled "Behavior Modification of Students" was presented by Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Abd in Abel High School, Abu Bakr Secondary School, Al Faysaliah Secondary School in Tannumah, and in the Belasmer Training Center for Primary, Middle and Secondary School Teachers. In his course, he explained the symptoms of behavioral problems in children and how to transform negative behaviors into positive behaviors. Specifically, the concepts of physical punishment and its effects were discussed at length alongside the proposal of a practical program to modify behavior that is a combination of parental intervention and educator guidance.
In his segment, Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Gharib presented a course entitled "Strategies to Deal with Work Pressure" at Al-Bukhari School in Tnumah, while Mr. Tariq Mousa Al-Aar presented a course entitled "Ideal Interactions with Social Networks" for two days in Abel High School, King Fahad Secondary School, and Abu Hanifa Btnumah Middle School. Dr. Gharib's and Dr. Al-Aar's course targeted middle and high school students between the ages of 12 and 18. It aimed to provide the trainees with the knowledge and skills necessary to use social networking sites efficiently and effectively. Several topics were covered that included the definition of social networks, the relationship of technology and information, the social impact on the community, the pros and cons of social networks, and the activities of social networks. Dr. Ali Al-Yasser delivered a course entitled "Crisis Management Skills" at the Belasmar Training Center. This course aimed to provide the trainees with the knowledge and skills needed to manage crises effectively. The primary focus of the course focused on numerous governmental sectors that included the Municipality of Belasmer, Belasmar Civil Defense, the Belasmar Police, the Belasmar Hospital, Civil Defense in Belahmar, and the Belahmar Police.
The Coordinator of the Academic Unit at the Deanship, Dr. Samia Nadaa Shahwan, presented a course entitled "Personality Patterns and Their Impact on the Learning Process" at the Belasmar Training Center. The target audience included public teachers in Belasmar, Balahmar, and Tanuma. The course dealt with the concept of personality patterns and the factors influencing them, the importance of studying personality patterns, their relation to the individual's learning style, the characteristics of each style and the teaching strategies appropriate for each pattern.
Dr. Samia Nadaa Shahwan stressed that the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education is committed to providing a number of distinguished services to the community and is keen to reach various sectors to raise the capacities of beneficiaries. "The contribution of the Deanship in the Sixth Health and culture Awareness Program in Belasmar was part of the vision of development and care supervised by His Excellency Dr. Merzin Awadah Al-Shahrani, Vice President for Development and Quality, and His Excellency Dr. Omar Alwan Aqeel, Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, as well as the efforts of the advisor to the dean, Dr. Abeer Mahfoud Medawi."
