King Khalid University, represented by the Awareness and Cultural Activities Unit at the Faculty of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion, has launched a program called "Balagh" in the middle of the current month of Shawal. The program is directed to Muslims in general and preachers in particular in many countries. It will be held over ten days with the participation of a group of University specialists.
The program comes after the approval of the Supreme Leader, the support of the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed Al-Issa, and after the follow-up by His Excellency, Prof. Dr. Faleh Bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solamy, the Rector of King Khalid University. The program starts on the 20th of Shawal and will span three countries including the Maldives, the Ivory Coast, and Brazil. The program is expected to handle cornerstone areas of the Islamic Sciences such as Aqeedah, the fundamentals of Fiqh, interpretation, Hadith, and the core elements of the call to God the Almighty.
Through the “Balagh” program, King Khalid University aims to take part in the efforts of the Saudi government in the areas of Dawah internationally, in addition to supporting other Saudi universities in this field. The University also aims to activate the role of the Faculty of Sharia and the Fundamentals of Religion in spreading Islam and teaching the forensics of Islamic Science. The purpose is to combat the misguided ideas and deviant methods that distort the image of Islam and Muslims, in violation of the approach of the Sunnis and their followers in those countries.
During the international visit, the Balagh program also seeks to benefit outstanding students by empowering them to study at King Khalid University as grantees.
In an effort to ensure success and uniform delivery of materials, the Faculty of Sharia and the Fundamentals of Religion coalesced numerous scientific materials in one book to provide a succinct guide to effectively funnel the beneficiaries of the program to the straight path. The Faculty will also provide Dawah kits to preachers and students of Islamic Science.
