King Khalid University (KKU) has hosted a number of international experts in the Education Evaluation Authority of Higher Education sector in the last week. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the institutional performance of the University in pursuit of achieving the highest levels of excellence and quality.
The visit included holding a number of meetings, starting with a meeting with the Rector of KKU, His Excellency, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy, then there were meetings with KKU vice - Presidents, and with a number of deans of colleges, deanships, supportive departments, Heads of departments, and a number of professors, researchers, students, employment entities, in addition to meeting with officials of different administrative units of the University.
Also, the visiting team paid visit to a number of university facilities in the University City in Abha. Members of the team also inspected Sciences and Arts College in Mahyel Aseer, Academic Unit for Girls in Abha, Community Colleges for Boys and Girls, and Applied Medical Sciences in Khamis Mushaite.
The activities of the visit were concluded with a celebration in which the visiting team met all the University staff and affiliates. The celebration took place in the Central Stands, and was attended by the Rector of KKU, and by the Assistant Secretary General of Education Evaluation Authority, Dr. Saad Al Zahrani.
On the occasion of the visit, the University - Vice President for Development and Quality, Dr. Ahmed Al Jibli, thanked His Excellency, the Rector of the University, for supporting the project. He also thanked the members of the visiting team, for all what they had presented, as well as all the KKU affiliates, for their unusual efforts done to upgrade the University performance.
For his part, the Chief of Auditors Team revealed the main pillars of the visit, the achievements found in the University, and the recommendations suggested by the team in order to upgrade the institutional performance in the University.
The Counselor in Education Evaluation Authority pointed out that the visit uncovered obviously the remarkable development that has been achieved by King Khalid University in the field of education quality.
On this remarkable occasion, the Dean of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Merzen Al Shahrani, thanked the Rector of the University for his unwavering support, which definitely led to upgrading the quality of the education process. He also thanked the University Vice - President for Development and Quality, for his direct follow-up, which enables the University to reach this advanced level.
It is noteworthy that His Excellency, the Rector of the University, had received - in his office - the Assistant Secretary General of Education Evaluation Authority. During the meeting in the Rector's office, the two officers discussed many topics that could upgrade the educational process in KKU. They also discussed the most prominent achievements of KKU in this field.
