The Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), His Excellency, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy, yesterday, received in his office, Mr. Nez Kwakreli, the President of QS organization; one of the most famous international organizations that is concerned with the international and Arab ranking for universities. The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Vice President for Development and Quality, Dr. Ahmed Aljbaili.
The Vice - President for Development and Quality explained that the meeting came within the organization's procedures for the visit of King Khalid University, which has achieved significant progress in performance, in addition to reviewing and discussing what has been carried out of comprehensive development by the university, which has made it qualified to achieve the 4th place at the level of the Saudi universities, and ranked 520 worldwide, as the international ranking of the KKU has risen at a rate of 50 ranking in only a year.
It is noteworthy that this outstanding progress made by the university has coincided with other universities failure to preserve their ranking, at the Arab and international levels. Also, the achievement by KKU came within an atmosphere of intensive competition on the Arab, international, and national levels.
Dr. Aljbaili added that he would review and discuss a number of possible initiatives that would promote continued progress and that would characterize the university at the national, Arab and international levels, if it is acknowledged that it is a very important strategic goal that would contribute to achieving the vision of the Kingdom - Vision 2030 - and at the same time it would be commensurate with the unlimited support the education system receives.
