His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy, has directed Scientific Research Deanship at the University to launch its first research programs (the general research program) for the year 1438 AH.
The Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Abdullah Ghadran Al Suhaimi, has explained that the program seeks to achieve the vision of the university which looks forward to global leadership in the field of research, development, and knowledge economies, in addition to the early discovery of discerning researchers, so that they will be a fundamental pillar of the research work at the university, through the provision of an attractive research environment, and through directing their research towards excellence and quality, by spreading the spirit of competition, providing their needs, and improving their abilities, as well as guiding their interests in order to serve sustainable development and localization of scientific research at the university.
Prof. Al Suhaimi stated that opportunity would be given to other different groups including faculty members and researchers who will be informed about prestigious scientific publications vessels, available incentives to complete authentic research to be ready for publishing in the arbitrated scientific journals and in other prestigious international magazines with high-impact labs. Researchers also should present a sort of research that would be applicable to community service and would activate the movement of scientific search, to raise university classification compared to other universities, and then move up the international rankings of universities.
Prof. Al Suhaimi further reported that the deanship intended to launch other research programs in the near future to serve all faculty members and graduate students, and to contribute significantly to raising the efficiency of the research community, as well as increasing the quality of research outputs. These research programs are to be announced respectively.
