    Under the patronage of Asir Governor, University to hold the 1st Quranic Conference.

    Under the patronage of His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Asir region, King Khalid University (KKU), represented by the College of Sharia and the fundamentals of Islam, is holding the 1st International Quranic Conference on the employment of quranic studies in the treatment of contemporary problems. The Conference takes place on Sunday morning, the 15th of Muharram 1438 AH, and will last for three days. The venue of the event will be in the university theater in Abha.

    For his part, the Rector of King Khalid University, who is also the General Supervisor of the conference, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy, has expressed his sincere thanks to His Royal Highness the Governor of Asir region, for honoring and for sponsoring the conference, praising his unlimited support for all activities of the University. His Excellency Al Solamy, further explained the importance of the conference for everyone, as Quranic approach is a divine approach that all Muslims must follow. His Excellency the Rector said, "Solutions to many of our contemporary problems were found thousands of years ago in the Holy Quran but for those who could think deeply," and added, "I hope this conference will come out with many of the solutions to the whole Muslim world problems in various areas of life"

    On his turn, His Excellency, the University Vice - President for Academic and Educational Affairs, who is also the Head of the organizing committee of the conference, Dr. Mohammed Al Hassoun, also stressed that we lived in an open world that experiences the easy communication and mutual influence. Dr. Al Hassoun pointed out that organizing such a very important global conference was not something easy. He said, "The involvement of researchers and specialists from various Arab and Islamic countries through the themes of this conference will help in establishing a methodology to understand the reality, which will build on a conceptual-procedural rule able to find solutions to contemporary problems according to a Quranic wise perspective."

    The Dean of the College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion, who is also the Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, Dr. Ali Al-Shahrani, said that the conference was essential as it urges the need to return to the Holy Quran, which is a fixed truth in all areas of life. Dr. Al-Shahrani stressed that the conference would focus on important objectives in order to pursue the treatment of our contemporary problems. Among these objectives are to connect the nation to the Holy Quran, which is the source of reception and of survival and it - the Holy Quran - is man's only way to live happily here and in the Hereafter. The Conference also focuses on highlighting the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in saving the Holy Quran and its Sciences, in addition to highlighting the role of the Quran in the treatment of contemporary problems, as well as cherishing of Quranic studies so as to be able to play their role in the treatment of contemporary Islamic issues, and to contribute to the overall advancement of society. Finally, the conference aims at recruiting researchers' potential and efforts in the treatment of contemporary problems.

    It is worth mentioning that the conference will discuss a number of researches which the University received. These works were presented by researchers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to participants from Arab and Islamic countries. Topics of these research have handled 6 axes including the recruitment of Quranic studies in the treatment of belief and intellectual problems, and the treatment of political problems, in addition to the treatment of social problems, the treatment of economic problems, and the problems of the concept of jihad, as well as the employment of Quranic studies in the treatment of learning and teaching problems.

    During the event, several prominent figures will participate. They include Imam of the Grand Mosque, His Excellency, Dr. Saleh bin Humaid, and His Excellency, the former President of the Islamic Universities League, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Abdulmohsen Al Turki, His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Sindh - the General President of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice - in addition to Dr. Saleh Moghamesi.

    Objectives of the Conference:

    1. Linking the nation with Holy Quran, which is considered the only source for man's survival here and in the Hereafter.

    2. Highlighting the role of the Kingdom in saving the Holy Quran and its Sciences.

    3. Highlighting the role of the Holy Quran in the treatment of contemporary problems.

    4. Cherishing Quranic studies; to play their role in the treatment of contemporary Islamic issues, and to contribute to the overall advancement of society.

    5. Recruiting researchers potential and efforts in the treatment of contemporary problems.

    Conference Axes

    The first axis

    Employment of Quranic studies in the treatment of belief and intellectual problems:

    It includes:

    1 - Imbalance in understanding and dealing with the receipt sources.

    2 - Physical atheistic.

    3 - Expiation between excessiveness and negligence.

    4 -The Misconception of freedom and equality.

    5 - Losing trust in our Islamic identity.

    6 - Doubting the constants.

    The second axis

    Employment of Koranic studies in the treatment of political problems:

    It includes:

    1 - Duties of sponsor and parish between excessiveness and negligence.

    2 - Separation of politics and religion.

    3 - confusion between the principle of Islamic shura and Western democracy.

    The third axis:

    Employment of Quranic studies in the treatment of social problems:

    It includes:

    1 - Poor communication and social solidarity.

    2 - Family problems.

    3 - Calls for the dismantling of Islamic societies (sectarian ...).

    4 - Problems of youth.

    5 - Problems of women.

    The fourth Axis

    Employment of Quranic studies in the treatment of economic problems:

    It includes:

    1 - Leniency in dealing with public money.

    2 - Extravagancy.

    3 - Taking money unjustly.

    4 - Poverty.

    5 - Unemployment.

    The fifth axis

    Employment of Quranic studies in the treatment of the concept of jihad problems:

    It includes:

    1 - Misunderstanding of the concept of jihad and its controls.

    2 - The concept of terrorism and how it upgraded.

    3 - assault on the infallible blood.

    The sixth axis:

    Employment of Quranic studies in the treatment of learning and teaching problems:

    It includes:

    1 - underestimated scientists and influentials.

    2 - Giving up forensic science.

    3 - The separation between science and action.

    4 - Weakness in the output of educational institutions.

    5 - Weakness in diligence and scientific creativity.
