King Khalid University has concluded the second edition of the summer activities program, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs during the period from 4 to 29 / 11 / 1437 AH. The event took place in the sport hall of the University City, Guraiger.
The idea of the program is inspired by the vision of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia - the Vision 2030. Many activities were organized under four main fields: entertainment, career, tourism and volunteerism.
Generally, the number of beneficiaries of the program has reached 1,217 students. Specifically, the number of beneficiaries from the training courses within the program was 143 trainees.
In the entertainment field, various activities have taken place especially in the sport activities such as: (futsal, football, swimming, fitness and volleyball). In addition to that, some of the recreational events were organized like: social gathering, entertaining contests, courses in Arabic calligraphy and Diwaniya (coffee chatting).
The career section contained a training course in writing the curriculum vitae, and a training course about the job interview, while the tourism field included short trips to Suda and Habla, and to the Museum of Rijal Alma.
On the other hand, the volunteerism field has hosted the unit of intellectual awareness in the university and the General Directorate of Narcotics Control. It has also included the university campaign "Collect win." to clean up the environment, as well as a visit to orphanage, in addition to several medical awareness campaigns.
