His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Dr. Fallah bin Raja Allah Al Solamy, has called for the urgent need to speed up the process of transferring a number of female colleges to the new building. As a result, the work will be intensified around the clock to complete the transformation process before the beginning of the coming academic year. This call came yesterday evening during His Excellency's tour to the Administrative and economic College for females in Abha. The students of this college will have to move to the new building on King Abdullah Road. In the same regard, the students of Computer College in Community Service will have to move to the previous building of Administrative and economic College for females in Abha. His Excellency the Rector was accompanied on the visit by a number of university officials. The tour includes checking the building and its contents, especially the labs, and studying the possibility to change them from economics labs into computer lab. During the tour, His Excellency Rector Al Solamy held an urgent meeting with his accompanying officials to discuss the possibility of moving the computer college students and the time period needed for that. He also called out to set up the needs and requirements, and to submit them at the end of the week, and to provide a full report on the transferring process, and the possibilities, as well as requirements. At the end of the tour, Dr. Fallah has directed the need to increase the capacity of the computer labs during the preparation process. He also stressed on the quality of the equipment to be in compliance with specifications and standards of the university. Moreover, the Rector pointed out to the need to change the whole chairs in the building, to suit the needs of students. Additionally, he stressed on the Engineering Administration of the need to ensure the efficiency of the electrical load of the building, especially as the computer labs require sufficient electrical energy.
