His Excellency the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawoodd, has sponsored the signing of a cooperation partnership agreement between King Khalid University ( KKU ) and the research center for combating crime in the Ministry of Interior. The University was represented, at the signing of the agreement, by the Dean of Research Institute and Consulting Studies, Dr. Abdullatif bin Ibrahim al-Hadithi, while the other party was represented by the general supervisor of the research center for combating crime in the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Nayef bin Zaar Al Mahea.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the Vice Presidents of the university, the deans of the university and their assistants. Dr. Al-Hadithi clarified that "this agreement comes along with a large number of cooperation and partnership agreements signed by the university with various bodies, especially those regarding scientific research consulting aspects". He added, "This agreement comes with one of the most important research centers in this blessed country - Research center for combating crimes in the Interior Ministry - which is the oldest research center in Saudi Arabia; having been established in 1394 AH". Dr. Al-Hadithi also stressed that the research center for combating crime had a huge database which was and remains an important source for researchers, for experts and for specialists. He said that there was a higher committee for the center which is overseen by the dignified chairmanship of, and direct observation from, His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince, who is also the Minister of Interior, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz. Dr. Al-Hadithi continued "We, at King Khalid University (Research Institute and Consulting Studies) are pleased to work and cooperate with this center to serve in discursions on the national security issues and on the issues of strengthening the psychological, intellectual, social and national security." He added "We have already begun this blessed cooperation to participate in a number of research projects singled out with the University
