Yesterday evening, Prof. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, the President of the King Khalid University (KKU), paid a visit to the Admission and Registration Deanship. During his visit, His Excellency the President had a look on the departments and units of the deanship, and how work was going on. In addition, the President was briefed on the services that are offered to the students in the Services Main Hall. There, the President himself received a number of queries from a group of students. During a meeting with one of the petitioner students, the President reminded him of the existence of a mini court inside the University, provided as Unit representing the Students' Rights, therefore, the student could submit his complaint there. The President also stressed on the importance of transparency and clarity on the part of the employees of the Deanship in their dealing with students, which they could do by explaining rules and regulations that must be respected. Addressing the employees of the Deanship, the President said "I am always conscious of the importance and difficulty of your work at the university, being at the forefront." stressing "that controlling admission process at the university is acclaimed by all other presidents of the Saudi universities. Definitely, it was a result of the efforts exerted by the men of the deanship and of their honesty," he concluded.
For his part, The Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Sultan Al Farah, welcomed the university President to the Deanship, thanking him for his interest and his presence in the Deanship. The Dean also thanked the University President for his unwavering support for all the students' issues. Dr. Al Farah explained that the deanship has continued providing the best service in the field of academic guidance. He said, "We will participate in the next Gulf Conference that is going to be held in Jeddah City. There, we will offer a unique study concerned with the experience of King Khalid University in the new academic guidance. The Dean exerted, "I am confident that it will be the first of such experience at the level of Saudi universities." Dr. Al Farah noted that such progress was the result of the continuous effort of all the employees and the affiliates of the deanship. He also promised to provide many new electronic services.
At the end of the visit, the University President honored the excellent staff of the deanship for this year. The title of the excellent employee was obtained by the Director of Admission Department, Mr. Abdul Aziz Hadi. Also, another title of the excellent employee went to Mr. Ali Al Alwan due to his efforts in answering students' questions through the social network site (Twitter).
