His Excellency the Rector of King Khalid University Prof. Abdulrahman Hamad Aldawood was briefed on a report of what has been accomplished in Guidance and Counseling Center. The center was affiliated to the Deanship of Student Affairs during the previous period. Also briefed was about the efforts made by the members of the Center in order to improve work of guidance, as well as the efforts made by the Centre to the students to improve their academic performance.
The briefing was made during the visit made by the delegation from the Guidance and Counseling Center to His Excellency the Rector of king Khalid University. Members of the delegation included the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Merra Saad Al Habash, the Center Director Dr. Saeed Ali Ahmari, the Supervisor of People with special needs Unit Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Aldhamra, and the psychologist in the Center Prof. Musa Mohammed Alnjaa.
In his turn, the Director of Guidance and Counseling Center Dr. Saeed Ahmari emphasized that "the center is helping students to understand their problems and ensure useful treatment to the problems, so as to graduate a sort of generation equipped with science, faith, knowledge, and self-confidence, and who has the ability to actively participate in the construction of our dear country". The center sets to achieve the above objectives by the following: to participate in helping new students to adapt to university life, to provide counseling and academic, social, psychological and professional assistance for University students who suffer from one problem to another through guiding sessions.
