His Excellency, President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami, reaffirmed the university's eagerness to place students on scholarships at international universities, which have the expertise and high standards in higher education by benefiting from the scientific and industrial knowledge present In developed countries.
His Excellency stated during his speech at the Fifth Forum for Scholarships, which was hosted by the Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and represented by the Scholarships Department, that the university is moving forward in all efforts to develop scholarships year after year to meet the best international practices, in terms of choosing prestigious universities and high-quality programs, facilitating the tasks of scholarship students.
University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Hamid bin Majdou' Al-Qarni, noted that the first batches of the English Language Localization Program included 71 scholarship students, highlighting that it is one of the university's high-quality initiatives, which received widespread support from other universities, where its goal was to prepare those receiving scholarships by assisting them to develop their knowledge and linguistic skills.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Shughibi, the general supervisor of the scholarship department, confirmed that the university has an automation strategy in place through the project of switching to electronic management through the scholarship department's recently launched e-portal for scholarships (Baaeth), which is concerned with all scholarship matters, from obtaining the initial approval for scholarships up to the issuance of the final decision, in addition to many other services.
At the conclusion of the forum, His Excellency the University President honored the outstanding colleges in the field of scholarships, the success partners who significantly contributed to the effectiveness of the scholarship management strategies, and the exceptional students who completed their scholarships by earning a degree within the previous two years with excellence in three criteria, including scientific research, innovation, and completing a doctoral degree.
