His Excellency King Khalid University Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al Solami, inaugurated the "Second International Mathematics and its Applications Conference , which is organized by the Mathematics Department at the College of Science and is to held remotely for a period of two days.
During the launching ceremony, His Excellency the President of the University explained the importance of organizing and holding scientific conferences in various fields for the university’s progress and development in the fields of scientific research. He also stressed the University’s keenness to organize a series of conferences in the field of mathematics, after the success of the first conference, and the increasing number of participants in the second edition.
The conference is to include the participation of a group of mathematics experts from distinguished universities in the fields of mathematics from the United States of America, India and Portugal, in addition to Arab and local universities.
On her part Dr. Mahra Abdullah Zayed, a member in the scientific committee of the conference, explained that 18 papers were selected to be presented in the conference lectures, pointing out that the conference has received great attention from specialists in the field of mathematics around the world. She thanked his Excellency the university president for his support and follow-up on all matters concerning the conference.
It is worth noting, that the Mathematics Department has witnessed remarkable development in terms of increasing the number of papers published.
