    University Presidents Commend the Launch of Asir Development Strategy

    King Khalid University Vice Presidents, commended His Royal Highness Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, launch of the Asir development strategy, under the theme ( Arabian Highland ) confirming that this strategy will result in a quality leap in the development of Asir region.

    The University Vice President Prof. Mohammad AlBuhari, said that the launch of Asir development strategy comes as part of an approach to sustainable development in an era of prosperity, the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God protect him. He added the launch of Asir development strategy is the culmination of the efforts of perpetual improvement and comprehensive development led by The governor of Asir region Chairman of the Asir Development Authority, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - announcing the the start of a new era in Asir region that seeks to transform itself into a global destination for ten million visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom by 2030.

    The University Vice President of Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Mohammad bin Dajam, explained that the launch of the strategy to develop Asir region by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, will enable the region to develop in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. He added the human resources in Asir and the nature of the region are a combination of originality and modernity, along with its culture and diversity, are all to contribute to economic growth and enhance the role of tourism as well as providing new job opportunities.

    The University Vice president of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Hamid bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, said that the launch of Asir Development Strategy by His Highness Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman is a pivotal event in the future of Asir region, which is to enhance the regions national and global position and to aline it with previous strategies in Al-Ula and NEOM and constitute one of the most important tributaries of the national economy to achieves the vision The Kingdom 2030. He added the strategy aims to transform Asir into a global tourist destination that derives its components from nature, culture and originality, to achieve comprehensive development for man and place.

    The University Vice president of Quality and Development and projects Prof . Dr. Marzan bin Awadah Al-Shahrani, also described the launch of the Crown Prince’s strategy for Asir region under the theme ( Arabian highland ) as a breakthrough for a promising future towards a comprehensive and unprecedented development renaissance for the region aimed at transforming Asir into a global tourist destination throughout the year, taking advantage of the diversity of its nature, its majestic peaks, and moderate atmosphere. He added, Our wise government's interest, in this precious part of our dear country comes to achieve the comprehensive development renaissance witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general and the Asir region in particular."

    The University Vice President of Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, said that the process of development perpetuates in our country, and with His Royal Highness Crown Prince launch of Asir development strategy under the theme (Arabian Highland ) which aims to achieve a comprehensive and unprecedented development renaissance for the region, we seek to reach a global level that serves the economy , culture and well being of our region and our country. He thanked his Royal Highness the governor of Asir region Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - for his devotion towards the development of Asir region.

    The Vice President of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Kholoud Abu Melha, extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to his Crown Prince, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, for launching the Asir strategy (Arabian Highland ), whose title refers to the nature of the region and the desire and keenness of our leadership, in raising Asir to the top of the promising future by investing its natural reserves.

    Abu Melha added, "This strategy, God willing, will contribute to attracting investments and advancing development in all fields to achieve an unprecedented comprehensive renaissance for the region that will benefit the people of the region as it will provide new and diverse job opportunities that will raise the quality of life and improve basic services and infrastructure. She added ,the strategy will also contribute to attracting investments from Inside and outside the Kingdom. , and this economic movement will enhance the role of tourism and culture as drivers of economic development in the Asir region, making it a global tourist destination throughout the year.

    The General Supervisor of the University’s branch in Tihama, Dr. Ahmed Atef Al-Shehri, said that the launch of the strategy for developing Asir region under the theme ( Arabian highland )”reflects the majestic peaks of the region and honors its authentic people and their culture, which will achieve opportunities for the region , and attract internal and external investments.

    He added, "The patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect him - and his launch of this strategy is a clear indication that the nation is an indivisible whole. The projects of the 2030 vision are a tangible reality in all regions of the Kingdom, there is no difference between east and west or north and south.
