The King Khalid University Database Center, a leader in database services within the Ministry of Education, obtained the Tier III Design Certification from Uptime Institute — the standard-bearer for digital infrastructure performance — for its cloud data center located in Abha until 27 May 2022. The certification illustrates the world-class capacity evidenced in the engineering and architectural specifications of the facility design.

A Saudi medical team, led by Dr. Mohammed bin Lafi Al-Otaibi, the Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at King Khalid University, has successfully conducted a surgery to a young man, aged 22. The patient was suffering from a complete disability to walk, to the extent that he could not live naturally because of sickle cell disease, after his knee joints have been replaced. The operation took place at the Asir Central Hospital in Abha.

Under the patronage of the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education, on Wednesday 11/4/1437, conducted the closing ceremony of the courses that it has provided for 350 trainees from the employees of General Security in Asir.

King Khalid University (KKU) has received a congratulatory letter from the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Suwail. In his letter, the Minister congratulated the university on the occasion of launching a new version of its electronic gate, using an open source technology (Drupal).
