University to participate in the 4th Architectural Heritage Forum.

King Khalid University Vice - President, Prof. Mari Hussein Al-Qahtani headed the organizational meeting of the 4th National Architectural Heritage forum. The forum is going to be held in Asir province on Monday, the 9th Safar 1436 AH, and its activities will be launched from the university.

During the meeting, the attendees discussed the preparations of all aspects to be undertaken by the university in organizing the forum. Upon this, they decided to hold a workshop entitled "University Education in the Field of Architectural Heritage". The workshop will be attended by a number of Deans concerned with architectural planning, tourism and monuments from different Saudi universities. Two exhibitions will be launched in the University to accompany the Forum: A 3rd exhibition - project and planning - will be by students of Architecture Faculties in the Saudi universities - the winning projects of Prince Sultan bin Salman Prize for Architectural Heritage. 

After that, there will be a celebration to distribute Prince Sultan bin Salman Architectural Heritage Award. Then comes a workshop entitled "King Abdullah project to take care of cultural heritage in the Kingdom", to be moderated by the Chairman of the General Authority of Tourism and Antiquities, His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz. This will be followed by two scientific sessions entitled "The current status of the Architectural Heritage", and "The role of institutions and communities in the rehabilitation and the development of architectural heritage".

Vice President Al-Qahtani urged all members of the committees, which were set up by the university, to exert maximum efforts for the success of the programs, hence the forum, as it is assigned to the university.
