His Royal Highness Meets College of Medicine Staff and Faculty

Governor of Asir, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, affirmed that King Khalid University has a long history of achievements. Moreover, he asserted that King Khalid University provides vital community and academic services for the region, explaining that now is the time to provide all necessary resources to achieve greater results.

 

This came during a meeting held by His Royal Highness with faculty members and staff at the College of Medicine, in the presence of His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, on Monday in Auditorium 6.

 

His Royal Highness explained that this visit aims to enhance the College of Medicine's role in the community, explaining that all proposals and suggestions will be considered to serve the mission of the College of Medicine.

At the beginning of the meeting, Rector Al-Solamy welcomed His Royal Highness and expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards his continuous support to King Khalid University's activities and projects.

 

Dean of College of Medicine, Prof. Suliman Al-Humayed, explained in his speech that this visit is a historic moment for the College of Medicine on the occasion of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud's visit to elevate the college and activate its role in the region.

 

Following after, Vice Dean of Clinical Affairs, Dr. Saleh Al-Qahtani, delivered a presentation that reviewed the establishment of the college and its achievements during the past four decades. Of noteworthy mention, the educational facilities and the community service health initiatives provided to the region were highlighted.

 

During the meeting, His Royal Highness reviewed strategies and discussed topics that will bolster the role of the College of Medicine in the region. The topics included the university hospital, supporting scientific research, and attracting highly qualified medical staff.
