Two Scientific Dialogue Sessions on the First Day of the 4th Scientific Forum on the History of King Khalid

The sessions of the Fourth Scientific Forum on the history of King Khalid bin Abdulaziz was launched. The event was organized by the King Khalid Chair at the University, and took place in Abha Palace Hotel during from the 4th to the 5th of this month, and entitled "Social Aspects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under King Khalid Bin Abdulaziz's Reign."

The sessions began with a discussion on the history of King Khalid, conducted by the Rector of Jouf University, Dr. Ismail Al-Bishri. His Excellency, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki, the Advisor of the Royal Court and His Excellency, Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Namla, Former Minister of Social Affairs, both gave keynote speeches.

The participants in the opening session gave an overview of the history of their lives during the reign of King Khalid bin Abdulaziz, and the civilizational developments witnessed by the Kingdom in that era, and his keenness, God bless him, for the educational process, and its advancement and growth.

Dr. Al-Turki pointed out that the reign of King Khalid was distinctive in all fields, especially the fields of education. He further added that the opening of the branches of Imam University in the regions of Aseer and Qassim occurred during his reign as well as the opening of the Faculty of Sharia in Ahsa, stressing that all stages of education significantly developed and rapidly expanded during his reign.

Correspondingly, Dr. Al-Namla confirmed during the session that King Khalid, may Allah bless him, was the first to approve the establishment of courses for scholars to educate and prepare them before their scholarly careers began, pointing out that the seed of knowledge must be preserved through world-class courses that immunize future scholars.

At the tail end of the forum, six sessions were held. The first session included six pieces of research that reviewed the humanitarian positions of King Khalid bin Abdul-Aziz, his noble qualities, and his relationship with some of the personalities and the Saudi community in his discourse.

In conclusion, Dr. Awad Moayyoud discussed the role of dreams, wisdom, patience, honesty, and compassion and its profoundly positive impact on humanity during the life of King Khalid bin Abdulaziz.
