The University and Ayedh Bin Da’Ajim Charity Foundation Launch the First Hajj Campaign for Scholarship Students

With the support and guidance of His Excellency the President of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Dr. Falah bin Raja Allah Al Solami, the University has launched the Hajj (pilgrimage) campaign holding 25 scholarship students in cooperation with Ayedh Bin Da’ajim Charity Foundation.

The supervisor of charity box for scholarship students, Dr. Nasser Al Qamishan, has pointed out to the vital role of KKU President in activating the charity box in order to provide care and support for scholarship students and he stated, “ On these ground, the KKU President has directed the formation of a committee among the best professors at the University to establish regulations and rules that ensure the achievement of the desired goal and accomplish the vision of the University as well as our wise leadership in caring for scholarship students to be messengers of good and peace and convey a bright picture of the land of the two holy mosques.”

A member of the foundation committee for the Charity Box of Scholarship Students and the Supervisor of the KKU Hajj Campaign, Dr. Saeed Al Sarhani, has placed great emphasis on the active cooperation with charity foundations. Such cooperation has resulted in this project which serves 25 scholarship students from seven different Arabic and Islamic countries to perform their first Hajj obligation with a total cost of 142,400 SR. He also added, “The necessary procedures have been taken to ensure the performance of the rituals with ease.”

In a vote of thanks, the students have expressed their gratitude to the KKU President, the Ayedh Bin Da’ajim Charity Foundation, and all committee members of the charity box for their care, support and help in performing the fifth pillar of Islam. They also thank the Saudi government for their significant efforts in serving the pilgrims.

It is worth mentioning that there were a number of bodies at the University who contributed to facilitating all the necessary procedures for the launch of this campaign including: the Deanship of Faculty and Staff Affairs, the General Administration for Administrative and Financial Affairs, the Administration of Traffic Management, and University Security.
