University Council approves the establishment of a scientific association for teachers.
During the eighth session of the current academic year 1436 / 1437 AH, the Council of King Khalid University approved the establishment of a scientific Saudi association for teachers. The eighth session was held under the chairmanship of the Acting President of the University, His Excellency, Prof. Dr. Marei Bin Hussein Al-Qahyani, in his capacity as the Acting Secretary of the Council, and was attended by the Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz Saleh, in addition to the University Vice - Presidents, deans of Deanships, dean of Colleges, and with the participation - through the internet - of girls' colleges' deans who are members of the Council.
His Excellency, the Acting President, opened the session with a praise of God, and with prayers of peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. Then, a member of the council, who is also the University Vice - President for Health Specialties, Dr. Khaled Aljelban, reviewed the topics tabled on the agenda of the meeting.
The council approved the nomination of a member for the Board of the Faculty of Sharia and Religion Fundamentals, and the establishment of the Saudi scientific association for teachers. Also approved was the adoption of the executive rules of the unified list for Graduate Studies at King Khalid University, the upgrading of a number of the higher echelons of the staff, in addition to mandating His Excellency the Minister of Education, with the authority of the council during the summer vacation for the academic year 1436 / 1437 AH. The council also reviewed a number of topics and took appropriate resolutions on them.
