University launches girls' colleges projects estimated by 700 million riyals

His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Asir Region, will, tomorrow morning (Tuesday) sponsor the opening and the launching of a number of projects for girls colleges at King Khalid University (KKU). Important dignitaries expected at the occasion include the Rector of KKU, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, and a number of Vice presidents and members of the University Council,, and faculty members, as well as officials of government departments in the areas.
The launching includes 10 projects, in nine colleges for girls, and the building of medical services. Some of the projects have been moved to this year, while others are near completion. The total value of the projects is about 700 million riyals.

The number of finished projects are ready to be handed over to the following institutions; the Scientific College for Girls in Abha, the College of Education for Girls in Abha, the Community College for Girls in Khamis Mushayt, the Center for Medical Services and the Academic Medical Center in Abha, in addition to the College of Arts and Sciences for Girls in Tohama.

The rest of the projects will be completed over periods - ranging from two to six months.  When they are completed, they will be handed over to the following institutions; the Faculty of Management and Economics for Girls in Abha, the Community College for Girls in Abha, the College of Arts and Sciences in Khamis Mushayt, as well as the Faculty of Medical Sciences for Girls in Khamis Mushayt, in addition to the College of Applied Medical Sciences for Girls in Tohama.
When the projects are completed and developed, the facilities so constructed and developed will have the capacity to accommodate more than 40 thousand persons - students, faculty member and employees.
