The Deanship of Academic Development and Quality of King Khalid University (KKU) has implemented a training program. The program included conducting 13 training courses that were introduced in a number of university sites, in addition to providing 5 other training courses online in partnership with the Deanship of e-learning. All the provided courses are aimed at developing the faculty members' professional skills, who reached 289 in number. The program took place on the campus of the university.

The training program handled several areas to develop the capabilities and skills of the faculty members, and those of the ancillary staff, in areas such as quality assurance, accreditation, human resources development, modern ways of teaching strategies, information and techniques of computer technology, and e-learning.

The Dean of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Marzn Al-Shahrani, has stressed that the training program was part of the directives given by the Rector of the University, Prof Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, and was an evidence of the continuous follow-up of His Excellency the Vice - President for Development and Quality, Dr. Ahmed Aljbaili.

It is noteworthy that the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality is working on activating the training process in order to develop and improve the skills of the faculty members' - male and female - in addition to developing their academic abilities.
