10 recommendations from King Khalid University at the end of "Preserving Grace" Forum.

The activities of the forum 'Preserving Grace is Our Responsibility' were concluded last week. The forum was organized by King Khalid University (KKU), represented by the Deanship of Community Service and Continual Education. It was held in the university campus for three days, and the occasion witnessed the participation of 11 bodies, from among governmental agencies and charity organizations in the accompanying exhibition. The number of the participants was about 60 researchers, through working papers and researches, and the rest presentations were in the form of posters in the exhibition.

Two training courses were also held at the forum, the first one targeted the volunteer work, which was presented by Mr. Maher Abu Hijleh, from King Khalid Charitable Foundation, and the second discussed the frameworks of the effective investment for grace of time. It was delivered by Dr. Zafer Al-Hammad, in addition to a workshop in which a number of representatives of charity organizations and preserving grace associations participated, and shared their experiences and the expertise with the attendants.

At the end of the activities of the forum, a number of recommendations were made, including the need of stressing the importance of making the curriculums in all levels of education to include some topics that deal with the blessings management and its preservation, the avoidance of wasting it, the recognition of the blessing, feeling gratitude toward having it for its sustainability, the necessity for the activation of the role of the educational, cultural, social and media institutions in spreading the culture of keeping graces, spreading the culture of garbage recycle and the exchange of expertise and successful experiences both from individuals, institutions or states, as well as urging for the establishment of a governmental body or a national body to be responsible for the maintenance of grace, in coordination with other related governmental and private institutions, through the institutional work, and the establishment of a media center to be dedicated to the preserving graces projects.

Another recommendation was in the context of keeping the blessing of security, intensifying the enlightenment security programs to confront the deviant ideas and strengthen the sense of national belonging, and encouraging volunteer work in the preserving grace under the supervision of qualified instructors, in addition to documenting the experiences and expertise of organizations, warehouses and projects, and the various places of keeping food, and exchanging it in order to avoid a lot of obstacles, to emphasize the importance of educating the community by reducing extravagance in occasions, such as weddings, and to emphasize the role of Deanship's Community service in the universities, to hold more programs and courses on the subject of preserving graces.
