University to organize the 'Save Grace' Forum

His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Asir region - may Allah preserve him - patronizes - on Monday (today) - the opening ceremony of the Forum 'saving Grace is Our responsibility'. The forum is organized by King Khalid University (KKU), represented by the Deanship of the Community Service and the continual Education, during the period from 13 to 15 of this month. The venue is at the central amphitheaters, at the University city in Abha for men, and in the university Center in Samer, for women.

The President of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, has expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid, the Governor of Asir region, for his patronage of the forum, praising his continual support for all the various activities of the university.

President Al Dawood stressed on the keenness of the university to play a leading role in serving the local community in Asir region, because of the importance of delivering its third message in the community service after the education and scientific researches.

His Excellency, the President of the University added that the Forum was trying to handle many of the negative behaviors that have emerged in recent times, including the manifestations of extravagance and wastefulness, which the forum reviews the Islamic legitimacy vision of such behaviors, and treats ways to save grace, the rational use of it, the good practices and the successful experiences, both locally and globally.

The Dean of the Community Service and Continual Education at University, Dr. Mubarak Hamdan, has clarified that a number of academic researchers from Saudi universities would participate in the forum, by presenting researches and working papers, and enlightenment posters. He added that the forum would have exhibition accompanying it, which would include the participation of a number of governmental agencies and charity organizations.

The participating governmental agencies from the region at the exhibition will be represented by the following; The General Directorate for Agriculture, the Preventive Affairs in the Directorate of combating drugs in Asir, the General Directorate of Education in Asir, and the branch of Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the region, in addition to the General Directorate of Water resources, directorate of Social Affairs, and the Deanship of Community Service and the Continual Education of the University.

The exhibition includes the participation of a number of charity organizations in the region represented in the Preservation of Grace Association (Shukor), (Abaa) Association and the Family Development Association in Abha, in addition to (Itaam) Association. Also the exhibition will have the participation of the warehouse Charity in Madina to present papers and experiments in the field of preservation of grace.

The Deanship of Community Service will present, from the sidelines of the Forum, two training courses. The first one is concerned with the volunteer work topics, while the second is concerned with the fields of the effective investment for the time of grace.
