Al Dawood: Budget shows the state's interest to achieve a sustainable and a balanced development that meet the needs of citizens.

King Khalid University (KKU) President, who is also the assigned president of Bisha University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, has explained that the General budget of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was recently announced by the King, reflected positive indicators, including the promising economic growth experienced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the wise leadership. In addition, the President of the two Universities clarified that the budget of this year clearly showed the state's attention to achieve a sustainable and a balanced development to meet the needs of the citizen, and to raise their standard of living, emphasizing the full belief that investment in the human being is the way of development and the indicator of construction and development.

President Al Dawood said, "Despite hardships and deteriorated economic conditions the world is currently witnessing, in addition to the decline in oil prices, the state's budget for this year came to confirm the strength of the Saudi economy and its stability. Moreover, the budget has reflected the King's vision of the development process in this country. Earlier, The custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, has announced a budget of a balanced and comprehensive development vision, permeated throughout the country, and included all the slides and sectors of society, providing decent opportunities for the Saudi citizen."

President Al Dawood added that the budget's figures with its positive indicators, proved the country's leaders appreciation and interest for the citizens, as the largest portion of the budget had been allocated for the education, and the provision of a decent life in all areas of health, of social care, and of opportunities for training, for rehabilitation, and  for investment through great projects and generous governmental support. "Here, comes the citizen's role to invest in all these opportunities, and to be grateful in return," President Al Dawood concluded.

The President also stressed that the current budget was a continuation of the previous budgets and was consistent with the 5-year development plans set by the state. The aim of the plans is to support all development paths in the whole country. The President added, "No doubt that education, training and the workforce sectors enjoy a greater support of government interest. In particular, education receives unlimited support from our wise leadership, which doubles the responsibility on the employees of this sector in the interaction with the development plan to achieve the vision of the wise leadership in the provision of education befitting Saudi citizen in this noble country."

At the conclusion of his statement, President Abdul Rahman, on his own name, and on behalf of the staff of King Khalid University and the University of Bisha, thanked and appreciated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, and the Deputy Crown Prince, His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz – may God protect them all - for all the support being received by the two universities, which has been a main cause, after God, of what the two institutions have achieved. His Excellency, the President of KKU, also thanked His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Asir region, on the permanent support he always renders to the university, and also thanked the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa, on the ongoing and continuous interest in follow-up, praying to God to perpetuate his blessing over this country and its people, to be on the side of our soldiers, to forgive martyrs, and heals the wounded.
