University participates in the cultural and scientific forum for the students of Gulf countries.

Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Hessa Trad Al-Shaalan, King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs (female section) has participated in the 1st Cultural scientific Forum for the universities of Higher education and its institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The forum was under the title "Our Gulf, progress and creativity", and it was held from 18 to 23 January 2015, at King Saud University in Riyadh. The vision of the forum was to highlight outstanding female students in order to attract their desire of creativity, and to organize a sort of forums that can compete with similar global forums in terms of organization, quality of work and diversity. In addition, the forum's aim was to motivate female students to contribute to the renaissance of their home countries, and to serve their communities, through their participation in research projects and creative works in different disciplines, as well as provide them with a range of academic and personal skills that will deepen the values of cooperation and fair competition in their hearts.

On the occasion, Dr. Hanan Abdel Hadi Saeed Al-Qahtani, the Vice - President of the University Deanship for Female Student Affairs reported that 7 students who represented the university participated in the 1st Cultural Scientific Forum. They were supervised by Prof. Omra Moaidh Al-Qahtani. The Vice - President further reported that the University won the first place prize in the Holy Quran competition, and the second place prize in the cultural competition.

It is noteworthy that over the days of the forum, several topics were dealt with, including the risks that surround the Gulf Cooperation Council; environmental, social, and health. There was also the issue of the ties of brotherhood between Gulf countries in terms of religion, culture, and Arabism. Furthermore, courses and workshops were held in a number of areas that are all in favor of boosting Gulf countries students, as well as arranging recreational and scientific visits.
