KKU Ranks High in 2024 Times Ranking
King Khalid University was ranked high in the Times' (World University Rankings by Subject); one of the world's most reputable ranking authorities. The university went head-to-head with many competing international universities, which is largely attributed to the ongoing national education developments in light of the Saudi Vision 2030.
Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hamid bin Majdou Al-Qarni, stated that the ranking included the following studies; Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Education, Computer Science, Bioscience, and Medicine.
Al-Qarni also highlighted the different placements each field received in the ranking.
- Engineering Studies placed 3rd nationally and 201st internationally.
- Physics Studies placed 3rd nationally and 251th internationally.
- Education Studies placed 5th nationally and 401st internationally.
- Computer Science Studies placed 401st internationally.
- Bioscience Studies placed 5th nationally and 501st internationally.
- Education Studies placed 5th nationally and 401st internationally.
- Social Studies placed 3rd nationally and 501st internationally
- Medicine Studies placed 601st internationally.
It is worth noting that the criteria used for the (Times Higher Education Ranking) includes development and innovation metrics, research efforts, and experts' opinion on academic quality and standard of education.
Al-Qarni stated that King Khalid University aspires to become a leading figure in education, research, and innovation, and a model of success that offers the highest quality of education; leading to international academic recognition. Al-Qarni concluded by congratulating His Excellency, the university students and faculty, and the administrative staff.
