Council of Universities' Affairs Approves Five New Colleges

As part of the University Restructuring Program, the Council of Universities' Affairs recently approved the establishment of five new colleges, 

  • The College of Tourism and Hospitality.
  • The College of Architecture.
  • The College of Arts and Culture in Rjial Alma'. 
  • The College of Law. 
  • The College of Nursing in Muhail Asir.  

His Excellency, President of KKU, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, expressed his deep gratitude for the kingdom's leadership, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness, Mohammad bin Salman, and commended their generous care and support, and their development of higher education. He warmly thanked His Excellency, Council of Universities' Affairs President and Education Minister, Yosef bin Abdullah Al-Binyan and the members of the council for providing proper programs that meet the needs of the Saudi economy and society, coinciding with the Saudi Vision 2030. 

His Excellency explained that the establishment of these new colleges aligns with national and regional goals, ensures proper investment in Asir's tourism benefits, and provides the much-needed qualified cadre.

The University Restructuring also introduced new departments to existing colleges,

  • The Department of Mining to the College of Engineering.
  • The Department of Modern Languages to the College of Language and Translation. 
  • The Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers Department to the College of Humanities, and many more.
