The University First Council Meeting for the Year 1445Ah
His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami, on behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education, chaired the first university council meeting for the year 1445AH, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the University Affairs Council, Professor Dr. Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam, and members of the University Council .
The Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research - Secretary of the University Council - Prof. Hamed bin Majdou' Al-Qarni, said that the meeting reviewed the topics on the agenda and took the necessary decisions regarding them. The council approved scholarship grants, extend scholarships, terminate scholarships, assigned teaching assistants and lecturers, and approved Master's and PhD degrees for a number of postgraduate students.
The meeting also approved a service agreement between the university and the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property regarding the establishment of a virtual center to support intellectual property at the university as its host.
The Council also approved the joining of Prof. Abdullah bin Ghadran Al-Suhaimi, a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, and Dr. Awad bin Hussein Al Mohi, a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics in the College of Science, to the membership of the Council of the College of Science.
