In its 10th Meeting, University Council Approves Application Requirements for Academic Positions Under Contract System
On behalf of His Excellency Minister of Education, His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami, chaired the 10th meeting of the University Council for the academic year 1444, at the University City in Al-Fara’a in the presence of the Secretary-General of the University Affairs Council, Dr. Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam and members of the Council the university.
The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research - Secretary of the University Council - Prof. Hamed bin Majdou Al-Qarni, explained that the Council reviewed the topics on the agenda and took the necessary decisions.
Al-Qarni explained that the council agreed to grant scholarships to a number of teaching assistants, extend and attach a number of teaching assistants and lecturers scholarships, and grant Masters's and Ph.D. degrees to a number of graduate students. The council also approved cash and in-kind donations made to the Charity Fund for Scholarship Students.
The Council also recommended Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Asiri as a member of the Council of the College of Dentistry for two years and appointed a number of applicants to fill the positions of faculty members under the contract system for the academic year 1444 AH.
According to Al-Qarni, the council also approved the proposed number of admissions for diploma and bachelor's degree programs for the academic year 1445, the memorandum of cooperation between KKU and the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA), and the terms and requirements for applying for academic positions (contract system).
