In its 9th Meeting, University Council Approves the "Computing and Informatics" Magazine and a Number of Recommendations

On Monday, the 9th of May 2023 , and on behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education, His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, chaired, at the University City in Al-Fara’a, the 9th meeting of the University Council for the academic year 1444. The meeting included the presence of the Secretary-General of the University Affairs Council, Dr. Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam, and  the council members.

The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research - Secretary of the University Council - Prof. Hamed bin Majdou Al-Qarni, explained that the Council reviewed the topics on the agenda and took the necessary decisions.

As the reported by Al-Qarni, the councils most prominent recommendations, were approving a number of cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding,   approving the development of several postgraduate programs, as well as  agreeing to granting scholarships to a number of teaching assistants, extending the scholarship duration of multiple teaching assistants and lecturers, finally granting Masters's and Ph.D. degrees to a number of graduate students.

The Council also recommended Dr. Meshaal bin Mishaal Al-Olayani and Dr. Muhammad bin Yahya Abu Dahma as members of the Applied Medical Sciences College council in Mahayil Asir.  In addition to  approving the issuing of   “The Journal of Science and Technology in Computing and Informatics.” and the formation of its editorial board.

Al-Qarni, explained that  the council also  accepted  the thoughtful act made by Businessman Hadi bin Aoun Al-Qahtani in granting 2 cars as gifts for  this years graduation ceremony. The meeting was concluded by approving the “Anti-Harassment Charter in King Khalid University".
