University Council Holds its 8th Meeting for the Academic Year 1444AH

On Tuesday the 4th of April, the King Khalid University Council held its 8th meeting for the academic year 1444, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the University Affairs Council, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, and members of the University Council.

The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research - Secretary of the University Council - Prof. Hamed bin Majdou Al-Qarni, explained that the Council reviewed the topics on the agenda and took the necessary decisions.

Al-Qarni added that the council agreed to grant scholarships to a number of teaching assistants, extend and attach a number of teaching assistants and lecturers scholarships, and grant Masters's and Ph.D. degrees to a number of graduate students. The council also approved the following: the estimated financial cost of awards and incentive bonuses for scientific research for the year 1444 AH, the opening registration for the summer semester for the academic year 1444 AH, the King Khalid University summer training program for the academic year 1444 AH, the “Occupational Safety Engineering” bachelor’s program at the College of Engineering, a number of memorandums of understanding and internal cooperation agreements, and the “The Development of Postgraduate Programs Guide” at the university.

The meeting also included the approval of a number of postgraduate programs, the proposed terms and numbers for admission, the university's rules of conduct and discipline for postgraduate students, the sponsorship guide for the activities of the Deanship of Student Affairs, and the postgraduate programs' admission for the upcoming academic year 1445 AH.
