The Secretary General of the Council of Senior Scholars Visits King Khalid University
His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, received His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Fahd bin Saad Al-Majed, Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars. In his visit which is part of the "Visit a World” initiative , His excellency met with the university employees and international scholarship students, the visit was organized by the Intellectual Awareness Unit, in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars.
During the meeting with the university’s employees and students, which was moderated by the supervisor of the intellectual awareness unit at the university, Dr. Misfir Al-Wadi’i, Al-Majed discussed several topics, most prominent of which was his emphasis on the importance of adhering pure faith, and training in the capacity of the mind to think through advice and meditation. He also spoke on jurisprudential differences between Muslim societies and balancing faith with life issue.
Al-Majed pointed that since the establishment of the Kingdom one of its main pillar has been the purity of faith which follows the approach of the predecessor of this nation. He finally thanked the wise leadership for its support and the university for its hospitality.
It is worth noting, that Sheikh Al-Majed held a meeting with the employees of the Faculty of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion, and also visited the university newspaper "Afaaq".
