The 14th Dental Research Day

The College of Dentistry at King Khalid University recently organized  the 14th Scientific  Research Day , which was held virtually , as part of the excellence program. The event took place  in the presence of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Prof. Ibrahim bin Sulaiman Al-Shahrani, and the Supervisor of the Excellence Program, Dr. Muhammad Al Obaid.

The Dean of the College of Dentistry, Prof. Ibrahim Al-Shahrani, explained that the number of research papers submitted  by dentists reached 55, praising their efforts and the excellence of their research, he also expressed his  appreciation towards  the efforts of the research team supervisors in the university.

Al-Shahrani, confirmed that the participating research papers were presented to 6 arbitrators to choose the best 3 research papers in the male section, as well as the best 3 research papers in the female section, according to high research  standards.

The results were as followed : 

1:  First place in the female section, : Shawq Al-Mathemi, Lamees Al Jalban and Malak Al-Qahtani ,supervised by of Dr. Muhammad Kamran and Dr. Atheer Abdullah Ghanem, and in the male section: Faris Al-Qahtani and Fahad Al-Shahrani supervised by Dr. Nasser Al-Ahmari.

2: Second place in female section: Ghada Al-Qahtani, Mashael Al-Qahtani, and Lama Al-Qahtani, supervised by Dr. Nasser Al-Ahmari, and in the male section: Sultan Al-Qahtani, Shaker Al Osman, and Sami Al Awad supervised by  Dr. Satish Harlore.

3: The third place in the female section, : Yara Qassem and Hanin Al-Qahtani supervised by  Dr. Shaheen Villalil , and in the male section: Salman Al-Qahtani, Abdul Rahman Al-Ameri, and Abdul-Ilah Mushabb supervised by  Dr. Saad Al-Qahtani and Dr. Shaheeb Saqib.

It is noteworthy that the College of Dentistry at King Khalid University has achieved advanced positions during the last period in the International  Competition  for Dental Research organized by the Saudi Dental Society.
