Al Hedaithy an Icon of Business and Academics

Vice Rector for Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Abdullatif Ibraheem Alhedaithy, received the King Khalid University Scientific Publication Award for the year 2020, needless to say Alhedaithy has received many national and regional awards during his academic and research career. 

His most prominent accomplishments are: winning the Best Paper Award, among 160 presented research papers at the SIC Summit in England (2009), winning the Sharjah Award for Doctoral Dissertations in Management Science in the Arab World (2011), getting nominated for Al Muftaha Award, for a study of Housing in Saudi Arabia (2012), receiving a Creativity and Talent Award from the President of King Khalid University (2014), and winning King Khalid University Excellence in Community Service Award (2016).

He held a number of academic and administrative roles at the university, before and while being the Vice Rector of Business and Knowledge Economy. That includes being Vice President of King Khalid University, Dean of Research and Advisory Studies Institute, General Supervisor of the General Administration for Self Resources, and Head of the Electronic Commerce and Marketing Department at the College of Business, and a Counselor at the Emirate of Aseer Province.

Alhedaithy, is also a President of the Saudi Management Association in Aseer region, and a president and member of many administrative, academic and development committees at King Khalid University and other educational institutions in the Kingdom.

Alhedaithy proved that it’s possible to perfectly combine academic and administrative work and be creative in both fields, by publishing more than 48 books and research papers.
