Community Service and Continuous Learning benefits over 32 thousand people

The Agency of Business and the Knowledge Economy at King Khalid University strengthened its role in community service and continuous learning by implementing different courses and specialized diplomas to provide community members with knowledge and skills. In addition to other volunteer programs and social responsibilities which aim to increase its activities in community service to achieve the 2030 Vision. These programs benefited around 32374 people during the past year, 1441 AH.

The Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Learning continued the educational process online for 566 students in applied diplomas. There is around 12 diplomas, they were delivered in 685 hours and 295 lectures. The number of training courses reached 29 which benefited 1223 people. Five diplomas were added which were classified from the Ministry of Civil Services, the Deanship also created a program to qualify Saudi workers by localizing outlets for commercial activities. It organized campaign to support the heroes of the Ministry of Health through the (Proud of You) initiative. The Deanship’s activities, which were around 44 activities, benefitted 25,578 people. And 3689 people from the Deanship’s 14 partnership and social responsibility programs, while the volunteer work in the Deanship reached 13, which benefited 1291 people.

The Vice President of Business and Knowledge Economy Prof. Abdullatif bin Ibrahim Al-Hudithi, explained the university is interested in employing and investing its capabilities and experiences in community service and developing the community. The Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Learning is spreading the culture of development and is stressing on the quality of all programs and activities it provides.

The Dean of Community Service and Continuous Learning Prof. Omar Alwan Aqeel, confirmed the  Deanship is strengthening the communication with society, and came up with creative ideas to serve it. It also introduces the Deanship’s potentials so the community can benefit from them in various fields. He pointed to employing international academic standards to improve community service and continuous learning through programs.
