College of Science and Arts at Dhahran Al-Janoub Partners With Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education to Deliver Online Teacher Training Program

Under the supervision of His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, the College of Science and Arts at Dhahran Al-Janoub collaborated with the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education to organize an online educational training program. The program — developed for public school educators as part of King Khalid University's social responsibility — will start on the 3rd of Safar and continue for one week.

 

Dean of the College of Science and Arts in Dhahran Al-Janoub, Dr. Misfer Al-Wadie, explained that the training program includes several specialized modules delivered by a number of faculty members. Dean Al-Wadie expressed his gratitude to His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy for supervising this program and his continuous support. He then thanked the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Education for their collaboration in implementing the program courses.

 

Dean of Community Service and Continuous Education, Prof. Omar Alwan Aqeel, confirmed the Deanship's eagerness to offer programs that serve the community of educators during the COVID-19 pandemic. He explained that the program will feature a new module for each day the program runs. The module entitled "Educational Skills in Managing Online Classes" will be delivered by Dr. Khidran bin Abdullah Al-Suhaimi. Dean of E-Learning, Dr. Naif Jabali, will then deliver a module entitled "Innovation in E-Learning". The third module — "Manipulations in Teaching Math" — will be delivered by Vice Dean for Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Sami bin Musabbah Al-Shehri. The fourth module — "Applied Practices of Crisis Management in Educational Institutions" — will be delivered by a faculty member at the College of Education, Prof. Abdulaziz bin Saeed Al-Hajri. The training program will conclude with a course delivered by Supervisor of the Seminars and Conferences Unit, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Sagheer, entitled "Basic Strategies for Effective Teaching."
