The Role of University Endowments and the Economic Fallout of Coronavirus
King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy supervised an online meeting on Tuesday the 19th of Ramadan. The meeting was entitled "The Economic Implications of Coronavirus and the Role of University Endowments". The meeting was delivered by His Eminence Sheikh Saad Al-Muhanna and organized by the King Khalid University Endowment Secretariat as part of the Mobaderoon initiative.
Secretary-General of University Endowments, Prof. Omar Al Mushait, explained that the meeting aimed to spread awareness on the important role endowments play in fulfilling and perpetuating the mission of higher education institutions, noting that it will serve as a vital lifeline in reducing the economic repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting targeted members of the Board of Directors, members of the Investment Committee, members of the Standing Committee for Endowments, faculty members, and all endowment representatives of Saudi universities.
