Celebrations to welcome the new students at the University.

Community College and the Common Programs of King Khalid University - Al-Mahalah branch - have commenced their activities for this year with a reception for new students. The celebration was sponsored by the Dean of the Complex, Dr. Ali Bin Saeed Al-Amri, with the attendance of Vice -Presidents, and Teaching Staff of the Complex.

The celebration began with recitation of  some verses from the Holy Quran, followed by poems welcoming new entrants, then a show of the traditional play, entitled "Loyalty and bestowal". The idea of the play is from the activity leader at the Complex, Prof. Mohammad Abdul Karim Al-Adawi. The show has attracted  the ​​ audience applause and interaction.

After that, the attendees watched a video of a graduate of the community college at Al-Khamis, a unique student who would not be satisfied with a diploma certificate, so he decided to make his way up, to get his bachelor and masters degrees from a university in Britain and registered for a PhD course. This brilliant and worthy of emulating personality, named Hani Al-Edidi, attended the celebration but not as a student, rather as a member of the Teaching Staff.

 The celebration included sections that arranged draws and prizes, which were distributed to outstanding students by the Dean of the Complex, Dr. Ali Al-Omari and the Vice - Presidents.

Ali Al-Omari concluded the meeting with a word in which he urged the students to work hard, wishing them a year full of achievements and outstanding academic achievement.

In a similar context, College of Arts and Sciences, Belqarn has celebrated the arrival of its new entrants.

On the occasion, the Dean of the college, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Khsif Al-Qarni gave a speech urging the new students on the importance of hard work and called on them to take advantage of the distinguished capabilities, services, activities and events that are available to the College, to enhance their skills and abilities. 

Al-Qarni appreciated the sage leadership's support to Higher Education performance that appears apparently in the College in particular and in all King Khalid University Colleges, as well as in all Saudi universities in general.  Al-Qarni pointed out that the college was keen on providing academic and enlightenment services in various fields, to all people of the region, as part of its expansion and demand for wider reach, in an effort to contribute to the development of human capabilities and potentialities beneficial to them in particular and the nation in general. The Dean concluded by praying to Allah, the All mighty,to grant them luck and success in their educational endeavors.   

Similarly on the occasion, the College Vice-Dean, Prof. Saeed Asiri and a number of faculty members delivered some speeches urging their sons ( the students) on perseverance in their educational pursuit. They advised them to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the university. They also answered students' questions and inquiries with regard to their study at the university, as well as all what they may need during their academic pursuit at the University.

It is noteworthy that the celebration was heavily-attended by the students, and it aimed at raising the awareness of the newcomers towards the rules and regulations, especially those applying to both the study and the examinations. The celebration also enabled the new entrants to know something about the services and activities the college provide to its students, in addition to answering their questions and inquiries.
