King Khalid University receives its students in the new academic year 1435 / 1436 AH with a number of programs and activities that are expected to create appropriate academic atmosphere. The university is seeking through these activities to activate students' culture, and broaden their knowledge in order to help them to acquire more knowledge and beneficial experiences, besides becoming more familiar with social participation. The organized activities also aim at providing opportunities for all to engage in activities that are compatible with their interests and talents, and which will cultivate in them many skills and positive values ​​in the light of the university rules and regulations.

The university, represented by the Deanship of Students' Affairs, is keen on the establishment of a number of specialized clubs, which will in turn embrace special talents, such as Toastmasters club (public speaking), the Scout Activity Club, Calligraphy Club, Volunteer Work Club, Diving Club, Reading Club, Theatre Club, Integrity Club, and Wesal Media Club.

On this occasion, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Merrah Saad Al Habash stated that the Deanship started this mission with the student on his first day in the university campus, by arranging a reception for the newcomers, hosting students; hobbies, and investing their times in the student clubs, through which the deanship seeks to develop the student's personality as well as their potentialities .

Al-Habash also confirmed that the new academic year will witness many of the pleasant surprises for the students. Such surprises will include arranging a plethora of projects the Deanship intends to put up, with the permanent and continuous support and encouragement of the University President, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Dawoud.
