University Council approves number of admitted students for next year

King Khalid University Council approved the number of students who are expected to be admitted next year (1435-1436 AH). Council also approved the amendments made to some curricula, while some were returned to be revised and studied.

This took place last Wednesday during the 8th meeting of Council, headed by the President of King Khalid University.

Al-Dawood started the meeting by thanking the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and His Highness, the Crown Prince, Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, and the Crown Deputy, for the Royal Decree establishing the University of Bisha, which is considered great support to the sector of Higher Education.

During the meeting, they stressed harnessing all possibilities, capabilities, and expertise of King Khalid University to serve Bisha University, and cooperation bridges that should remain ongoing between the two universities.

They all appreciated the honoring and patronage of His Royal Highness, the Prince of Asir region, Faisal Bin Khalid, to the graduation ceremony for the academic year 1434-1435AH. Council also congratulated alumni students and their parents waiting for their contribution in the development process.  

The Secretary of Council reviewed some listed issues. They agreed to handle the status of two of the university scholars.

To increase communication with international universities and research centers, and to exchange experiences and expertise, Council approved the dispatch of Dr. Yahya Bin Hussein Al-Khalidi from the Faculty of Medicine to a training course in Canada.

Council also approved the renewal of the contracts of three faculty members for the academic year 1435- 1436 AH in order to benefit from their experience.
