At the conclusion of the International Exhibition and Conference for Higher Education in Riyadh, Higher Education Minister visits King Khalid University exhibit.

The Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid Al-Angari, visited the King Khalid University exhibit, which  formed part of the International Exhibition and Conference for Higher Education, which is in its  5th  year. He was received by the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Daoud, a number of faculty members and university officials.

His Excellency had a look at what the exhibit provided for its visitors, such as explaining the mechanisms of Admission. He also heard an explanation from the University President regarding the achievements of the university in the academic and research fields,  besides the plans approved to develop the University and all issues related to students. He was also briefed on the daily edition of Afaq newspaper, which is presented to visitors of the exhibition.

 At the end of the visit, Al-Dawood presented a commemorative gift to His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al-Angari, and thanked him for visiting the university's exhibit. Al-Dawood did not hide his gratitude to the Ministry of Higher Education for all the support services the Ministry presents to universities of the Kingdom in general and King Khalid University in particular, with the support of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

In this regard, the Minister of Higher Education thanked the University President and all employees for all the presented, valuable programs, research, active posts, and events that benefit students in all fields.

His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al-Saud, also paid a private visit to the university's exhibit.  He was received by the University President, Prof. Abdalhman Bin Hamad Al Dawood. He was briefed on the services offered at the exhibit, and listened to a brief explanation of the university's programs offered to students in all disciplines.

His Excellency examined a report on the University City,Al-Farah, priject. He recignsed the renaissance and major developments experienced by the university and the goals that the university's administration is seeking to achieve in the future. At the end of the visit, Al-Dawood gave the Prince a commemorative gift.

The President of KKU also received both the Islamic University Director, Prof. Abdul Rahman Al-Sindh, and the Director of Al-Gouf University, Dr. Ismail Al-Beshari, in addition to the Chancellor and General Supervisor of the Directorate General for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Salim Bin Mohammed Al-Malek. He also received a number of visitors and those concerned with academic affairs and discussed ways to cooperate with them as well as all other role-players in Saudi universities and Higher Education. The KKU President also visited the  of Hail University exhbit, where he was greeted by its Director, Dr. Khalil Bin Ibrahim Al Ibrahim. He was briefed on the services the exhibit provided. At the end of his visit, Al-Dawood received a commemorative gift from peer President of the University of Hail. Al-Dawood also visited the corner of the Digital Library and inspected its services.

It is worth mentioning that the King Khalid University exhibit  concluded its activities today after it established a number of workshops and hosted a series of purposeful meetings. The exhibit was well attended and visitors were pleased by their recepton by those in charge of the exhibit. The exhibit also presented a range of souvenirs and symbolic gifts to all the visitors, who were impressed by what they saw.

Hundreds of visitors to the King Khalid University exhibit during its third day at the International Exhibition for Higher Educaton

King Khalid University's exhibit, which formed part of the the 5th International Exhibition and Conference for Higher Education, received student visitors in higher education, public education, academics, and those who are interested in higher education. They enquired about the mechanisms of admission, registration, master's programs, doctoral degrees, and teaching methods. The visitors also realized the great development King Khalid University is experiencing in all areas, most notably the establishment of the University City at Al-Farah.

Visitors found answers to all their questions from the University President, as well as Vice-Presidents, Deans and faculty members who were at the exhibit. The exhibit was characterised by the commemorative gifts provided to visitors by the university. A number of visitors praised the exhibit for all the valuable and important information presented to them. They also praised what the university  achieved regarding development and educational renaissance, making it a source of pride to the nation. They also appreciated the effort made by the Universityby implementing significant projects, activities and programs that will positively affect the educational process.

"King Khalid University President offers worksheet “Travel Procedures and Study in America”

Under the title, "Study in the United States ... Expertise and Experience", His Excellency, King Khalid University President, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Dawood, presented a worksheet during a workshop within the activities of the  International Exhibition and Conference for Higher Education that was held in the city of Riyadh.

During the workshop, Al-Dawood presented tips and guidance for those who are interested in scholarships to America, noting that travelling to the United States differs from any other travels, especially after September 11th, 2001, which requires knowledge of the requirements and procedures for travel to that country and the rules to study there.

He pointed out during his speech at the workshop that the growing number of scholarships to the United States led him to write a book based on his personal experiences to benefit scholars.

 He said, “Recently, the increase in the numbers of scholarships to the United States after the program for Scholarship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, may Allah protects him, is noticeable. The program is a strong motivation to help scholars to find references to understand the necessary procedures and laws governing travel and study in the United States."

It is noteworthy that the worksheet, submitted by Al-Dawood based on a book that was recently published and which is divided into six chapters. The first chapter includes the establishment of the United States of America, the U.S. government, geography, most tourist attractions and archaeological sites, and American culture, in addition to work systems and ethics in America. The second chapter has been allocated for teaching and learning in the United States and deals with the education system, correspondence, admissions, study of language, academic study besides all that is related to scientific theft (plagiarism), and communication with the Cultural Attaché. He concluded with important advice and guidance.

The third chapter deals with visas to travel to the United States. It includes four topics; the privacy of visas, the types of non-immigrant visas, the terms of visas and contra-indications to obtaining a visa. The fourth chapter is devoted to the entry procedures of the United States of America, which includes five topics: Contacting the American embassy, special instructions for the traveller to America, in the plane during the flight, reaching the territory of the United States and what happens after immigration and customs. The fifth chapter addresses life in America. It includes 12 topics; breaches of public accommodation, housing, the most important laws, public services, dealing with the police, transportation, traffic systems, financial transactions, public health, ways to renew visas and residence permits, and before leaving America. The 6th Chapter presents some English words common in the field of higher education. Finally, supplements which included a number of models are included. 

 

University exhibit distributes honey and luxury gifts to visitors

KKU President receives Chinese Ambassador at International Exhibition for Higher Education

HE, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Dawood, received  the Chinese ambassador, with whom he discussed aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom and the Republic of China in the fields of education, at the University exhibit at the International Exhibition for Higher Education in Riyadh.

In this regard, the Chinese ambassador expressed his delight with what he found at the exhibition regarding the achievements of the Kingdom in higher education and in other areas.

In the same context, HE, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Dawood, welcomed the President of the University of Malta, Dr. Huaneto Kailea, and discussed ways of cooperation between the two universities.

HE, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al-Saif, then visited the university exhibit, where he met with His Excellency, Dr. Abdulrahman Bin Hamad Al Dawood.

During the meeting, Al-Saif praised the exhibit of King Khalid University as well as the academic excellence of the University and its achievements over the past years. He also discussed a number of academic issues with the President, offering his congratulations on the establishment of the University of Bisha, as this has significant impact on the development of Higher Education and prosperity in the region.

The Director of the university inspected the exhibit of the university . Al-Dawood listened to a detailed explanation from the Vice- President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ahmad Taher, regarding the components of the exhibit.

It is worth mentioning that the exhibit provided an introduction to the university, its colleges and departments in various provinces of Asir region, and the programs and activities that serve students as well as the community of the region in particular and the Saudi community in General.

The exhibit also offered visitors many brochures and booklets regarding the mechanisms of Admission and Registration, and graduate studies, as well as the faculties of the university and all  disciplines and departments, in addition to many luxury gifts for visitors, such as original honey, which characterizes Asir region and a number of other gifts, as well as visual presentations that reflect the integrated image of the University and exerted efforts to put the university in line with developed universities around the world.

The exhibit also gave an overview of the University City project at Al-Farah, which we will be occupied soon.

Under the slogan ”Innovation” and with the participation of 500 universities and 400 local and global bodies, the International Conference for Higher Education opened under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

On Tuesday morning, 15/06/1435 AH, the International Conference and Exhibition of Higher Education was opened in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Angari, who cut the ribbon to mark the opening. His Excellency then made an inspection of the exhibition and the exhibits of the universities, international, and local bodies participating, including the exhibit of King Khalid University, in the presence of His Excellency the President, Dr. Abdulrahman Al –Dawood, Vice-Presidents, Deans and a university .
