King Khalid University, Media Center

King Khalid University represented by the General Directorate of Information Technology launched a Website for the University in a new shape through which the administration seeks to be a site that could compete other sites regionally and internationally.  .

During establishment, the website has had a direct follow-up and supervision from IT Directorate General Supervisor, Dr. Abdullah Al-Walidi and Deputy Supervisor, Dr. Salem Al-Elyani to ensure displaying it in a way that reflects the great development in King Khalid University .

The administration put well-devised plans before starting the project and has worked extensively looking for the latest on international sites out of services and technology in this field. They were also aware of past experience to take the positives and avoid the negatives ones .

The administration has moved to a new content management system, Drupal which is currently the most prominent system used in the most prestigious sites in the world such as NASA, the White House , Harvard University and others. Also, the administration held a strategic partnership with American Company, Acquia to provide technical support , consulting and training on a regular basis .

 It is noteworthy that the project has been implemented by a team of young Saudis who work around the clock to finish it on time with the highest quality standards .
