During the inauguration, His Highness, the Governor, was briefed on the modern medical equipment contained in the clinics.

The Rector of King Khalid university seized the opportunity of the inauguration to thank His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, for his generous inauguration of the mobile clinics, praising him for his continued support for all the various activities of the university. Moreover, Rector Al Dawood explained that the mobile clinics provided by the university came to prove the leading role of the University in serving the Asirian community as a third mission in serving the community, after education and scientific research.

The cost of the 3 mobile clinics was estimated at SR 4,000,000. The clinics are fully equipped with digital X-ray, sterilization and cleaning device for each clinic, as well as a digital panoramic X-ray device. Moreover, the clinics are equipped with high-level safety devices in case of fire, in addition to a waiting area for the patients, and central air-conditioning, with a backup generator. The Clinics also contained an integrated medical staff from all disciplines of dentistry, and an administrative staff.

It is noteworthy that mobile clinics are essential due to their ability to move to the places that need to be visited, such as schools, commercial centers, and malls. Furthermore, by providing such mobile clinics, field research, as well as preventive and therapeutic medical survey can be conducted, in addition to the dissemination of education and awareness regarding mouth and teeth health. Another benefit that can be derived from providing such mobile clinics is the participation of various health personnel in the provision of dental diagnostic and therapeutic services in coordination with other various bodies, which is considered by the King Khalid University as a continuation of activation of community partnerships with the Ministry of social Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Association of disabled children in Asir.
