Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education Celebrates a Highly Successful Fall Semester

The Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education recognized many achievements from the last semester. The Deanship had more than 2,600 students complete practical diplomas, training programs and a variety of volunteer community outreach activities.

 

The Deanship offers 6 diploma programs approved by the Ministry of Education in: Practical Programming, Human Resources Management, Accounting, Office Management, English Language and Occupational Safety and Health. A total of 583 students were awarded diplomas in the Fall semester.

 

The Deanship also offered a total of 104 hours of training programs in: IELTS preparation, Construction Modularization using SAP, Civil Engineering Advanced Testing Systems, Lean Manufacturing, Physical Education and Social Media Management. These courses are designed to fulfill the needs of the labor market, and 172 individuals participated.

 

Community service events included the following programs held in collaboration with outside agencies: Oral and Dental Health Awareness, a Program entitled 'Immunity in Our Lives', Worlds Food Day, Data Journalism, a program in dealing with psychological stress, a health program on osteoporosis, English language basics, Breast Cancer Awareness, Dental Health Week and a course on dealing with teenage issues. Nearly 1,800 individuals benefited from these programs.

 

Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, Prof. Omar Alwan Aqeel, said he and the staff are now preparing to host the 8th Health Awareness Forum.
