Rector Honors Day 1 Olympiad Gold Medalists

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, honored the winners of the first round of the Second National Olympiad for Orphans Care Associations in the Kingdom, which was organized by the Abaa Association at King Khalid University. As part of its role as a strategic partner, King Khalid University is hosting the Olympiad.

 

The first day activities encompassed sporting events and cultural competitions. At the end of the track race, His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy honored the Abaa Association with gold, the Al-Buraydah Association with silver, and the Trawf association with bronze.

 

In the cultural competitions, the Trawf Association from Hafr Al-Batin won the gold and bronze medals in the Holy Quran Recitation competition. Also, the Trawf also won gold and bronze medals in the public speaking competition, while the silver medal was handed to the Kafel association from Makkah.

 

Of noteworthy mention, morning and evening sessions, moderated by a panel of judges from the Ministry of Education, are being held through Friday the 22nd of Dhū Al-Ḥijjah at the university theatre and gymnasium at the main campus.
